NEXTEYE(137940) will launch an
NFT(non-fungible token) business using K-culture content.
NEXTEYE announced that it has formed a
joint venture(JV) Artlogue NFT with Artlogue (Cruise NFT) on Thursday, an NFT specialist. The two
companies signed a business agreement in January this year to start NFT business
cooperation.
Artlogue is developing "Artlogue
Platform", an online NFT platform based on an offline shipboard art
exhibition. In addition to cultivating and supporting new artists in the NFT
market, Artlogue also plans to cooperate with world-famous art collections and
domestic famous entertainment companies to plan, produce and distribute star
limited edition MD products that guarantee sales rates. It is currently in the
beta version.
The two companies plan to develop the
largest online NFT exchange in Korea by opening an art gallery onboard at the
ship Cafe near Han River Park in Apgujeong-dong, Seoul. The art gallery is an
online and offline exhibition space based on MetaBus such as VR(virtual
reality) and AR(augmented reality). Those who wish to bid can participate in
the auction by using tokens that can be used onboard after appreciating the
works displayed in the gallery.
Currently, Artlogue has started the
development of the NFT exchange and plans to operate the art gallery by
bringing in IT planners and developers as well as employees from famous
entertainment companies.
A NEXTEYE official said that the company
plans to conduct various cooperation projects through THE JV, including
establishing the largest NFT exchange in Korea. Our biggest goal is to maximize
the size of our business by gathering experts in K-culture. He added, "We
plan to devise a complex cultural space including an art gallery on board and
issue an NFT that can be used onboard."
According to an official from Artlogu,
K-Culture's globalization and MetaBus's successful service will be met every
quarter. MetaBus will also lay the foundation for the domestic market by
locating offline art galleries accessible to ordinary people.
